BE COMPASSIONATE AT CHRISTMAS      

Most Christians, at Christmas, will be preparing for interaction with families but others will be alone and feeling isolated. Some of us will cherish the time with relatives and seek the love but for others it is just another day. Challenges and sadness for many of us who will not be able to experience the true spirit of inhaling the loving times that others do. We are each so different and exist accordingly.  For instance, there may be a loved one fading into death’s shadows of illness, broken, beaten beyond hope, sleeping on the grass, in sand dunes, hiding in old cars at the car yard as abandoned as ones seeking comfort and company. There are those whose hearts are leaking tears but unable to reach out to another. The needy hunger, for the thirsting of deep sorrow amidst humans to seek the source of caring, belonging and of acceptance for who they are. 

Jesus is aware and compassionate and upon reading the first chapter of James, we read of his calling to his brothers. Here he reminds us of a life filled with difficulties and temptations but that when it is rough times in life the gift of patience will grow.   Therefore, try not to avoid such growth of just ask him because when that is in full bloom he will gladly tell you.  Then you will be ready for anything, strong and complete in full bloom, strong in character and complete. He will give to you as in a bountiful supply of wisdom.  But when you ask him be really expecting him to tell you because a doubting mind can be as unsettling as a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind; then every decision you will then make would be uncertain, if you don’t ask with faith don’t expect the Lord to give you any solid answer.

Happy is the man who doesn’t give in and do wrong when he is tempted because afterwards he will get his reward, the crown of life that God has promised those who love him.  Temptation is the pull of man’s own evil, thoughts and wishes. So don’t be misled, my brothers.   Whatever is perfect comes to us from God, the Creator of all light without change or shadow.   He gave us our new lives, through the truth of the Word and we became, as it were, the first children in his new family. My brothers, don’t forget it is best to listen much, speak little and not become angry, as anger doesn’t make us good. My heart was deeply uplifted by these encouraging teachings in truth and love for us all at Christmas to experience such blessings. Wrongdoing and temptation denies the freedom of the wondrous blessings of knowing the light from our creator ‘WITHOUT shadowed changes.

In two Corinthians 8 Verse 3 loving represents “giving’.  Be a soul sower and God gives you even more promises in faith to feed your spiritual bread.  In Matthew,   Chapter three, when Jesus was led into the wilderness. for  forty nights he ate nothing and became very hungry.  Satan tempted him by changing stones into leaves of bread and other tricks. Jesus emphasized that   bread will not feed men’s souls as obedience to every word of God is what we need. This is the word of God we need to hear, to listen to and to believe and with that I lay HIS word on your hearts. His love will bless you all.
