Scripture Verse Of The Week

Ephesians 4 Verse 31: “All bitterness, anger, and wrath, insult and slander must be removed from you, along with all wickedness.”

The Apostle Paul, wrote this to the Ephesians, it is instructions to them and all who read; “Get rid of bitterness, rage, anger and harsh words.”

From the original translation, “Rid yourself completely” of those things. The Greek word used here is ‘pikria’ which is poisonous root. It comes from the root word ‘‘pikros’, which means ‘something pointed and sharp and the ability to cut deeply.

One of the greatest signs of maturity in Christ is what we do with our position of power in in the lives of those who hurts us

Refusing to forgive is simply our attempt to be God in the situation. Faith requires our acknowledgement that He died for all the rubbish. His blood is enough for my sins and the sins done to me.

We either choose to live a life that reflects God and the values Jesus died on the cross for, or we will choose to see God and His commandments as a large buffet line, from which to take what we like and leave what we don’t.

Let Go, and Know the power of forgiveness.

God Bless
