Philippians 1 Verse 6: “I am sure of this, that He who started good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
I am sure we have felt as though God may have given up on us. We started off believing with all our hearts. Perhaps we even felt that sense of euphoria, as I did, in the weeks and months after we gave our lives to Christ.
But at some point drudgery set in. It is like many new things we get involved in. and new relationship too. There is that initial ‘high’ and enthusiasm and that naive belief that feeling is going to last forever, only it comes crashing down, when reality set in.
And then we get a strange sense that God has given up on us, That maybe, it wasn’t rial in the first place, Have you ever been there.
The scripture verse above reassures us that God isn’t done with us.Our Lord and Our Friend has mighty plans for our lives, No matter how we feel, He is going to finish off that good work that he began in us, when we ask Him to be Lord of our lives.
If it were all up to us to get ourselves through, that would be hopeless. But whether we realize it or not. God is at work in us, through us, around us, to finish off the good work He has began in us.
He said He would never leave us or forsake us.
He has a way to help at all times
Hebrews 4 Verse 16: “Therefore let us approach the throne of grace with boldness, so we may receive mercy and find grace to help us at the proper time”.
