Sunday Encouragement

Normally we write a scripture verse as a ‘Sunday Encouragement’, but as a Special Easter article written from the heart of our beloved Lorraine, it is time to enjoy and reflect on:

ATTITUDES, EFFECTS AND ACTION

There was almost a hush over the world as we faced up to ‘The Virus’ effects on families or by person to person and revealed each one of us to a paralysis not experienced in my lifetime, nor did it seem ‘real’. A tension flowed and spread through everyone I knew or talked to.

An active attitude of expressed fear was detected amidst many when death after death occurred followed by the tag of ‘Social Isolation’. As this was declared and caused a deprivation by staying and living in your home totally. Many decided to close shops and business as the deadly illness swallowed humanity rapidly. A ‘Lock Down’ policy was issued to apply to many vulnerable citizens and churches, schools and the business sector (banks and restaurants etc. as well as ‘Human Services Department’ plus dental and medical centres. A great loss of normality was reported as washing hands and hygiene was an instant essential to all. Even breathing attracted harm if not wearing preventative masks.

Attitudes ate up affects and formed a fence of ‘Stay at home’ and policy became a commandment of reality to as common sense chewed away, one by one, any expectations. We mourned and submitted to unknown needs of the future. Is this God churning out his own bereavement at what we have become? Has he sent a refining fire? Sent wind flames that reject his holiness? Or increased earthquakes of huge destruction? Sent mountain moments, which shake dysfunctional foundation in constant sins of immorality? Unknown, life-threatening diseases of increasing death tolls are felt in every country? Has our God turned his back on his people? Is our God in action from a changed attitude? He sows the seeds of the earth for good and discards weeds and setback of .stones which block the growing of the harvest.

This process is how we too must trust in the ways of God. Indeed, that he will continue to gather us up from his garden of souls and have mercy and miracles abound from his crops. of human harvesting. We are all his as in his perfected purposes but like crop growing seasons, seeds need to be tended, fertile, fulfilled at gathering time, cleansed, sorted and spread in bunches to be specified nourishment for the consumers. So we can identify with God’s crops,

pray, plant, pursue peace, discard weeds and stones to gather in God’s harvest. His garden is perfect.

However, let us ponder on the word in James chapter five of The Devotional Bible.

‘Now listen you rich people, weep and wail because of the misery coming from you has rotted, and moths have eaten your clothes, your gold and silver are corroded. You have hoarded wealth –you failed to pay wages to your workmen-the cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord-you have lived in luxury and self-indulgence-you have fattened yourselves-you have condemned and murdered innocent men who were not opposing you-be patient then brothers, until the Lord’s coming-see how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop-don’t grumble against each other brothers or you will be judged-brothers, as an example of patience in the face of suffering, take the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord-we consider blessed those who have persevered-the Lord is full of compassion and mercy-do not swear, not by heaven nor of earth-let your yes be ‘yes’ and your no ‘no’, or accept condemnation. (recognize integrity and truth.)

THE PRAYER OF FAITH

Is anyone of you in trouble? He should pray. Is anyone happy-let him sing songs of praise-is anyone sick? He should call on the elders to pray over him and anoint him with oil, in the name of the Lord-prayer will make the sick person well-the Lord will raise him up-if he has sinned he will be forgiven-confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. –THE PRAYER OF A RIGHTEOUS MAN IS POWERFUL AND EFFECTIVE.

My brothers,-if one of you should wander from the truth someone should bring him back –whoever turns a sinner from the error of his way will save him from death and cover over a multitude of sins.

There are many other GOD guiding words but I feel this chapter of living life demonstrates the core of comparison for considering balancing the judgements of his people in today’s unbalanced chaotic society.

(Personal view.)

Think about it.

Be Blessed

Lorraine
