Scripture Verse Of The Week ‘2 Timothy 4 Verses 1 And 2’

2 timothy 4

2 Timothy 4 verse 1 and 2: {Message Bible}: “I can’t impress this on you too strongly. God is looking over your shoulder. Christ Himself is the Judge, with the final say on everyone, living and dead. He is about to break into the open with His rule, so proclaim the message with intensity; keep on your watch. Challenge, warn, and urge your people. Don’t ever quit, Just keep it simple.

It is a quality of life, but we don’t have to be manipulated to be faithful.

Our Lord and Our Friend is with us, in our undertaking all the way. What does He require us to do:

Proclaim the message with intensity.

Keep on our watch

Challenge warn, and urge people.

Don’t ever give up.

Keep it simple, after all it is all about Him and never about us.

Returning to a more tradition translation: V3: “For the time will come when they will not tolerate sound doctrine, but according to their desires, will accumulate teachers for themselves because they have an itch to hear something new”.

V4: “They will turn away from hearing the truth and will turn aside to myths”.

V5: “But as for you keep a clear head about everything, endure hardship, so the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry”.

The Apostle Paul, is telling us to remain faithful, because faithfulness will triumph in the end.

1 Corinthians 10 verse 13: Tells us: God is faithful.

Faithfulness is a God quality, which we need to walk in.

Galatians 5 v 22; Tells us it is a Fruit of the Spirit.

Faithfulness is one of the Fruits of the Spirit, we need to grow in.

Commitment should bring faithfulness. Alas in the world, when people grow tired of things, their commitment and faithfulness wains, but we are people that belong to His Kingdom, where His standards are higher, and the fruits can’t grow in anything less.

The Apostle Paul, is telling us to remain faithful, because faithfulness will triumph in the end.

God Bless.
