Fullness of Joy, most people would be prepared to pay for it, but theirs in a different fullness of Joy. Fullness of joy that comes, from really living the Christian life, to truly live the Christian life, we live our lives in the Presence of The Lord‘
Psalm 16″ “You reveal the path of life to me; in Your presence is abundant joy; in Your right hand are eternal pleasures”.
In Luke 10 verse 21 & 22: We find Christ Jesus rejoicing;
V21: “In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit and said, ‘I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid things from the wise and the prudent and revealed them to babes, even so, Father. for so it seems good in Thy sight”.
V22: “All things are delivered to me of My Father: and no man knowth who The Son is, but the Father, and who the Father is, but the sun, and He to whom the Son will reveal Him”.
It is remarkable that this is the only instance on record in the Gospels in which our Lord and Our Friend is said to have rejoiced. This is not saying, or would it be fair to believe from the fact of this one moment of His rejoicing that Our Lord and Our Friend did not rejoice at other times.
our Lord and Our Friend was always giving and when around doing good; and His acts of love and benevolence always finds quite pleasure and delight in blessing others. The Joy he must have had from transforming lives, the lame beggar leaped and the blind could see, must have been a great joy to Him.
Our Lord and Our Friend was on a mission, the mission must have always, been in His thoughts, dying agonizingly on a Cross. Hebrews 12 verse 2: “who for the JOY that lay before Him endured a cross and the despised the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of God’s throne”.
The joy hidden from the wise and prudent, more suggesting people who believe they more than most. But John 3 verse 16 tells us, God calls any ‘Whosoever’, to enter in to His presence, through forgiveness for our wrong-doings that separate us from Him, and acceptance of the plans that He has for our lives.
We virtually becomes babes to a new way of living, the Joy is instantaneous with that transformation. but we don’t stop there, we grow more and more into His likeness, and in the blessing of God. Joy is one of the many blessing Our Lord and Our Friend has for us.
Transformation through salvation, God plans for our life is revealed, on our journey in those plans, we have Joy for the journey to our eternal reward.
God Bless.
