Faith In Action ‘An Easter Reflection’

easter01

Easter the celebration of the purpose of our creation. We were created each one of us, known individually by God. Created with a free choice to believe in Him or not. Created with a free will to live under His loving care or not. But ‘free will’ allows us to do things that He did not create us for, things that would stop us individually from knowing Him intimately.

No payment we made, not even the sincerest task could resort us to Him, John 3 verse 16 to 18; {The message Bible} tells us, and we probably all know it off by heart.

“This is how much God loved the world: He gave His Son, His one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed by believing in Him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life. God didn’t go to all the trouble of sending His Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it is. He came to help, to put the world right again, Anyone who trust in Him is acquitted, anyone who refuses to trust Him has long since been under the death sentence without knowing it, and why? Because of that person’s failure to believe in the one of a kind Son of God when introduced to Him”.

Jesus came down from His Throne, to this world as one of us, to show us the great love, that the Father has for us.

Jesus displayed that loved when He prayed from the cross, {Luke 23 verse 34} “Father, forgive them; they don’t know what they’re doing”.

Our Lord and Our Friend was crucified between two thieves, men who were dying for their crimes, Our Lord and Our Friend had done nothing wrong, but to upset the religious people of the day. Religious people will always get upset, because they believe they can make it out of self effort.

The story about one of the thieves, show us how easy it is to be forgiven and made right with God. Luke 23 40 and 42:

In verse 42 Jesus who was on the cross turns to that man and his confession and said, “Today you will join me in paradise”.

That man found, who Jesus really is, on the cross, and was forgiven, so there is not one place in this world were Our Lord and Our Friend can not be found, and if we acknowledge Him and seek forgiveness, we to will be restored to a life of fellowship with Him and God The Father.

God Bless.
