Scripture Verse Of The Week ‘Matthew 13 Verse 23’

Matthew 13 verse 24: ‘He presented another parable to them; ‘The Kingdom of heaven may be compared to a man who sowed good seed in his field”..

Lets read again verse 24 along with 25 and 26 of Matthew 13:

V24: “He {Jesus} presented another parable to them: ‘The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a man who sowed good seed in his field'”.

V25: “But while people were sleeping, his enemy came, sowed weeds among the wheat, and left”.

V26: “When the plants sprouted and produced grain, then the weeds also appeared”.

The wheat and the weeds grew together. sometimes we might get disparaged at that concept, weeds growing where they shouldn’t.

It is a bit like the classic fight of ‘Good verses evil,   remembering ultimate truth is that Good overcomes evil, with Our Lord and Our friend on our side.

But as Christians the things that are growing around our lives whether Good or bad, the Goodness of His Presence in our lives should have more effect, on all that is around us.

In a court of law, we can not use the bad traits of others as a defense for our own actions. We are judged on what we do from our own free will. But as Christians we have surrendered all we are, to Our Lord and Our Friend, which is apart of dying to self and living for Him.

Always remain Fruitful for Our Lord and Our Friend. Never allow ourselves to be overcome by the glittering lights of the world, that may cause us to look like tares {weeds in the kingdom} instead of the true God plants, in God’s garden.

V30: “Let both grow together until the harvest”.

We are either growing in God, or we are growing in the things of the world. Let our growth be in the light of ‘The Son’, who gave Himself for us, and purchased us as His own, so that we can be a witness of His Glorious Presence, to all who grow beside us.

God Bless.
