This week ‘Weekend Inspiration’ is one of Cousin Ruth poems, Ruth has written so may wonderful poems, since she was set free from a cult she was in with her family. Leaving the cult, in terms of family cost Ruth dearly, but as we can see from her many poems including this one, called ‘Restoration’, Ruth really has a new freedom in Our Lord, Our Redeemer and Our Friend.
RESTORATION
My Lord, my God, my Provider
In your many marvels I delight
You took away the years of strife
And replaced them with your light
You heard my cries so many times
And held me tight and comforted me
With your tender love and acceptance
To become your child and set me free
It never ceases to amaze me, Lord
That you chose me, to make me whole
You’re doing a mighty work in my life
Restoring what the canker worm stole
It hasn’t always been an easy walk
When the devil tries to rob my joy
But with you always by my side
I know I know I can conquer his every ploy
