1 John 4 verse 7; ‘Dear Friends, let us love one another, because love is from God, and everyone who loves has been born of God and know God.”
We love God because He first loved us. Love between people works the same way. Love begins not in the act of loving butt in the act of being loved.
Law had always taught us that if we love, we may expect to be loved, as if we earn love by our own successful loving. In the New Testament, however, our loving comes first from the root of God’s loving us, as we are, without condition.
When we are loved as we are, we respond spontaneously, We virtually need to return the love. Love, then is no longer a precondition for God’s favor but something that flows naturally from our experience of God’s grace.
God’s Grace, everything depends on God first loving us. We need to bask in His Grace, his undeserved favor to us, to bask in the love he has always had for us. Everything depends on God first loving us. and our knowing how much He does love us.
Basking in His Grace, where He loves us just the way we are, but loves us to much to leave us there, because He has plans for our lives Jeremiah 29 verse 11. the closer we are able to be to other people.
Basking in His Grace, His undeserved favor at Christ expense, is the place where His love can flow from our lives, and people will know we are His disciples.
