Scripture Verse Of The Week ‘1 Timothy 6 Verse 11’

1 timothy

1 Timothy 6 verse 11; “But thou, O man {O woman} of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness”.

As people of God we should be taken up with the things of God. Run away from the things that are worldly. Follow after the Fruits of the Spirit, which are: Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faith, Gentleness, Self-control.

Follow after Righteousness, there is far more to be gained, from following the standards and example Our Lord and Our Friend, displayed in everything He did.

It is not enough that we become Kingdom People, but we should flee from evil things, {Note these are the things God calls evil, and not a worldly point of view}, and we must follow after, what is directly contrary to them.

What excellent, Kingdom People we will become, if we follow after Righteousness and Godliness.

A simple way of explaining Righteousness is; Right standing with God and all He requires of us.

A simple way of explaining Godliness is: Displaying the attributes of God, through using and displaying the Fruit of The Spirit.

What excellent Ambassadors for The Kingdom of God we will be, if we follow after Righteousness and Godliness.

We are called to live by His standards, which are quiet contrary to the world.

We are also called to hunger and thirst after righteousness.

God Bless.
