Scripture Verse Of The Week ‘Psalm 38 Verse 9’

known

Psalm 38 Verse 9:

“Lord, my every desire is known to you; my sighing is not hidden from You”.

Not are we Known by God, but He knows all about us. The wonder of creation, created with a purpose, to live in fellowship with our Creator God. A free choice given to us all, any ‘Whosoever’, can except Him, as Their Lord, Their Redeemer  and Their Friend.

Psalm 38, a Psalm of King David’s asking God to remember him. David opened the Psalm with ‘Lord {Yehweh}, and now addresses God once  more, this time as ‘Lord’ {Adonai, or Master}. He will use both names in verses 15 and 22. For a brief moment, David took his eyes off his own suffering and looked to the Lord, knowing that God saw his heart and knew all his longings.

God knows what we want, but he also knows what we need. Which leads us to a interesting question, why pray? Because God has commanded us to pray, Prayer is communication, and because we love God, we should respond to His commands. But if we have made our free choice, to accept Him and to honor and love Him, prayer should be a great joy, because we are communicating with The God that loves us.

When we pray {communicate} with God, God works in our hearts to give us a clearer understanding of ourselves and His will for our lives.

Prayer isn’t a theological concept to analyses and explain, it is a wonderful privilege to cherish and a blessing to claim.

Matthew 6 verses 9 to 13: “The Lord’s Prayer”, The ultimate relationship Prayer, The  Communal Prayer, with The Father that loved us so much, to give His Only Begotten Son. A prayer to address Him intimately, and not to ask for things we want, but to asks Him for things He knows we need, and the needs of others.

Our Father in Heaven, You are all powerful, Your glory surpasses, anything we can understand, help us to truly understand that, “Lord, my every desire is known to You; my sighing is not hidden from You”. Relationship Prayer is what He requires, and we are told to come boldly before the throne of Grace. {Hebrews 4 V 16}.

Not religiosity before, His intimate place for us, but reverence and awe for what He has done for us, because He already knows.

God Bless.
