Who Is Jesus To Us

Who is Jesus to us. Can we say the same as The Apostle Paul in 2 Timothy 1 verse 12:

“But I am not ashamed, because I know whom I  have believed and I am persuaded that He is able to guard what has been entrust to me, until that day”.

There is a great deal of mystery in life, and simply accepting this is better than striving to find explanation. But the question of Who is Jesus to us, needs to become Truth to us.

In Matthew 16 verses 13 to 20: Is the story of Peter’s confession.

V 13: Jesus asks His disciples, Who do people  say that I Am. There were several expressions of Who He was that were given, but with that question. the disciples were most likely questioning themselves to.

v 16: Peter gives the answer: “You are the Messiah, the Son of The Living God”.

Peter was not smarter than any of the others, he was only a fisherman, and he didn’t answer it out of his own knowledge.

v 17: Jesus tells him, Flesh and blood, the knowledge of men didn’t reveal that to him, it was a revelation from God The Father.

A great mystery, for the time, Jesus had not yet, achieved the purpose, of why He came, to die on the cross, for the sins of everyone of us, including Peter, to bring resurrection life, to anyone {any whosoever}, who will accept. The Holy Spirit had not been given.

Peter at that time, was just a man, and after that confession, he went on to deny Jesus. But Peter had just given the most Truthful statement of all time. “Jesus is The Christ, The Son of The Living God”.

Who is Jesus to us, are we just going along, with an image of Jesus as a good man, in the maze of religions around us, or have we received the revelation for ourselves, ‘Jesus is The Christ, The Son of The Living God”.

V 18; Jesus, tells them upon  that confession, He will build His Church”. In order for anything eternal to be built, we must believe that revelation for ourselves. “Jesus is The Christ, The Son of The Living God”.

Unless He is The Christ to us, we can’t build anything into our lives, Acts 17 verse 28:

“For In Him we live and move and exist”

If Jesus is not ‘The Christ to us, we don’t have real living, there will be no plan for any of Him to be built in our lives.

God Bless.
