Sunday Encouragement

encourage

If this is your day for rest, you still need encouragement. Be encouraged that no matter what you go through Our Lord, Our Savior and Our Friend said, “He would never leave us or forsake us”.

Psalm 55 verse 22: ” Cast your burdens on the Lord, and He will support you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken”.

So much could be said about this one verse. Firstly God will never allow the righteous to be shaken, and I immediately think of there are None righteous but one. {Roman 3 verse 10}.

That one righteous is Our Lord and Our friend, Christ Jesus. when we come to accept Him, as Our Lord , Our Redeemer and Our Friend, we put on His righteousness. We are covered in all who He is.

So when people see us they should see him, we are made righteous through Him. There is nothing we can do to earn this righteousness. We have become righteous in Christ Jesus, Our Lord and Our Friend, So He will never allow us to be shaken to the point that we can’t handle it.

Let look at who wrote this verse it was King David. He was declared to be “A man after God’s own heart” yet he stuff up, big time. David when he was writing this was distressed. A handful of people were causing him problems. We don’t really know who or what were causing these problems. They could have been personal or political or both. David knew that a wound this deep had to be given over immediately to the Lord. 55 verses 16 to 18.

Regaining strength, he ended his writing with, “Cast your burdens on the Lord and he will support you”. This was a man that walk under the Old Covenant.

We today walk under the New Covenant {NT} and it is the verse this ministry uses: 1 Peter 5 verse 7 “Cast all your care on Him because He cares for you.”

God doesn’t play favorites, King David went through many things. The Word to remember is always ‘Through’.

Keep your eyes on Our Lord and Our Friend, and all He Is and all He has made available to us to walk in, and with Him we can always come ‘Through’.

Be Blessed Today and Everyday,
