I am sure that there is one song, that nearly everybody has sung  Sometimes we sing songs and chorus and that become so familiar with us, that perhaps we lose the relevance of the words. One these catchy songs which never loses it appeal, is ‘Jesus Loves Me’.

He loves us so much, that he has plans for us, Jeremiah 29 verse 11: Plans that can be accepted or rejected, accepted by accepting Him and all He has done for us. {Through repentance and acceptance} Rejecting Him, by not wanting to believe in The God that created us.

Jesus loves me is a song, to build inside us, it is a wonderful truth. If we are feeling down, it has the capacity by it’s truth to lift us. If we are happy, it is a great expression of worship, honoring the wonderful truth.

Jesus Loves Me.

V1: Jesus loves me! this I know,

For the Bible tells me so;

Little ones to Him belong;

They are weak, but He is strong.

Chorus: Yes, Jesus loves me! Yes Jesus loves me!

Yes Jesus loves me! The Bible tells me so!

V2 Jesus loves! He who died

Heaven’s gate to open wide;

He will wash away my sin,

Let His little children come in.

V3: Jesus loves me!

He will stay Close beside me all the way;

If I love Him, when I die

He will take me home on high.

Perhaps it is good at times, to sing songs, and choruses, we mainly associate with Children, because Matthew 18 verse 3 “Unless you are converted and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.

Children are trusting and dependent. Perhaps singing this, we can reaffirm our trust and dependance on Our Lord Our Redeemer and Our Friend.
