Excitement From Book First John

a 1 john

First John was written by the aging apostle John.

The Excitement is the theme, “Fellowship with God”  Unlike the other apostles, he does not address his letter to any church or any particular person. He writes to all Christians, old and young.

Chapter 2 verse 12 to 14 He calls Christians by a tender word “teknie” – which means “born ones” or bairns”. God is dealing with His very own born-again children.

Fellowship with God:

“You may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have Life in His Name. That those who believe in Christ might Know that they have eternal life.

First John was written because the faith was being attacked by false teaching.

1 John 2 verse 18 to 28; 4 verse 1 to 6 ; 5 verse 6 to 7.

Some individuals once associated with the Christian community had adopted heretical doctrine, particularly as it relates to belief about Christ. In response John wrote this epistle firstly to combat the propaganda of the false teachers. Secondly John writes to reassure the believers.

John longs to bring his hearers into intimate fellowship with the Father and The Son, that their joy might be full. 1 John ch 1 verses 3 and 4; 2 verses 13 and 14.

Christ, who was God, took on flesh and dwelt with people so they would know how much God loves them {us}.

John says we do not only must believe like Christians, but we also must act like Christians.

If we claim to have fellowship with Him, yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth  1 john 1 v 6.

John exalts God in His epistle.

God is Light 1 verse 5

God is Love 4 verse 8 and 4 verse 16.

God is Righteous 2 verse 29.

God is life 5 verses 11 and 12.

STAND STRONG against false teachers{ strong message Anti-Christ those that oppose Christ}

KNOW AND UNDERSTAND your lives are Transformed through faith in Our Lord and Our Friend.

Enjoy reading  1 John and enjoy, understanding more about ‘Fellowship with God”.

God Bless

One response to “Excitement From Book First John

  1. I’m so glad and happy that God chose me. John 15:16. He knew what He was getting when He got me, so I have that to build on . Philippians 1:6; 2:12,13 He loves me and wants to “hang out”. Acts 17:28 ;Colossians 1:27,28. We are destined for greatness! 2Tim. 1:12. God don’t make junk! Jude 24,25
We need God but we also need one another! 1John 1:7; James 5:16. It’s the other side of the same coin. If we have a vital and a meaningful relationship with God on the vertical plain, then there ought to be some form of expression toward those that I meet on a horizontal plain. People can be scary and so can God be as we endeavor to come to know Him on a more personal level. Is eternal security a feeling or is it a fact? Understanding the facts tend to bring me a greater sense of security. Amen!
I suspect this is true in our human relationships as well..Together is better! 1John 1:7; James 5:16. Ten times better. Daniel 1:17-20; Eph. 4:3,13-16. All for one and one for all. John 17:3,17,20-23. God bless!
