God’s Special Place

God’s Special Place is a take on, Exodus 25 verse 31. Brings to remembrance, a song often sung in churches.

Into His presence we come.

Not by the works we have done.

But by Your Grace and Your Grace alone.

All the time God’s people were on their journey to the Promised Land, they lived in tents. God told Moses to make a special Tent that would be kept for Him. The most important part of the Tent {The Tabernacle} was hidden away, shut off by thick curtains. In this Most Holy place was a chest about the size of a desk. The piece of furniture was made of wood and covered with gold, and the lid was of pure gold. To be placed on the lid of the chest, where two gold figure, their wings outspread to cover the chest, as God would cover the people’s sins and wrongdoings.

God was to be with them on their journey, but priest would need to offer sacrifices for the people’s sins. No one but the high priest, could enter the special part of the tent, this is a picture of the Old Covenant. When the permanent  Tabernacle was build, it was built to the same pattern which included the Most Holy Place {Referred to as the Holies of Holies}.

God’s pattern fro people to come before Him, with there sacrifices for their sins and wrong-doings, but only a priest could go through the big heavy curtains into the Holise of Holies.

New Testament, Christ Jesus become our sacrifice. In Hebrews 2 verse 9 and 10: tells us that Christ “tasted death for everyman {woman}:

Hebrews 10 verse 20 to 25 tells us: We can now enter the sanctuary through what Christ Jesus did on the Cross for us. “By a new and living way that He has inaugurated for us”.

God Special place, is open for us to come: Hebrews 4 verse 16: “There fore let us approach the Throne of Grace boldly”.

Not only through what Christ did for us on the cross, and allowed us to come into His Special Place. Revelation 3 verse 20: He wants to come into our special place place. “Listen! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door I will come in to him {her}”.

New Covenant all He has is ours, and all we are, we are to give to Him, now that really is a special place to be. He has much more for us to understand, if only we come into His Special place more often.

God Bless.
