We have all heard it said, if we all lived our faith, the world would already be won for Him. Sorry under that opinion, all the world would have recognized Jesus for who He is, when He was on earth but they didn’t.
It is more a judgmental statement, and when we point the finger, we have more fingers pointing back at us. 1 John 2 verse 15 and 16: tell us:
V15: “Do not love the world or the things that belong to the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of The father is not in him. V16 For everything that belongs to the world—the lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes, and the pride in one’s lifestyle—is not from the father, but is from the world.”
Pride was and is Satan great sin, and he was kick out, of heaven {Luke 10 verse 18}, because of it. So pride in one lifestyle, is hard to make an impression on, because pride filled people believe, they have it all. The whole world is to be reach and witnessed to, but the whole world will not change, because of Pride, and Pride in one’ lifestyle.
That is the negative side of Pride in a life style. The positive side is once we receive Our Lord, Our Redeemer and Our Friend, through repentance and acceptance, we can be proud of our life style, because Galatians 2 verse 20:
“I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.’
Now that is something to be proud of, I no longer live, my life belongs, to The One who paid a great price for me, Our Lord, Our Redeemer and Our Friend, and there should be no deliberate shabby practices because of this.
Enoch walked with God and God took him, {Hebrews 11 v5} He loved God so much, the world most likely hated him for it, because his love for the Lord, would have exposed the pride in their life styles.
We never become perfect in ourselves, our perfection comes from belonging to Him and dwelling in Him. but we can in ourselves, have no shabby practices, that would tarnish our walk with Him. To do our best is all He asks.
The people of the world are quick to judge as long as they are not judging themselves. But they can’t judge love, so if we in our actions, display the love, of Our Lord, Our Redeemer and Our Friend, our witnessing might be of greater effect. We live and serve The Creator God, let not our workmanship, have any shabby practices.
God Bless.
