Sunday Encouragement

If this is your day for rest you still need encouragement. Take encouragement from this verse in Isaiah, God has a lot of better things in mind for us, if we only dare to trust. Adversity and challenges may come our way, no matter whether we are following Him or not. But with Christ Jesus in our life, we have an ever present help in time of need. Be encouraged in the love that God has for us.

Isaiah 55 verse 8 and 9

“For My thought are not your thoughts, and your ways are not my ways”: says the Lord. ” For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher, than your ways and My thought, than your thoughts.”

God does things differently to how we would do things. He is The God of the unexpected.

God is all powerful, but He is also all loving, and all knowing among other things, that we probably do not really comprehend.

God is a God of second chances, that comes out of His great compassion. God knows the past, the present and the future, most of us know our past, we know our present situation, but at most we can only plan for the future.

God is our Future, if we let Him be, what a great future that is. One of the more noted Christian writers Phillip Yancey has quoted;

“I have learned that faith means trusting in advance, what will only make sense in reverse.”

We all want to know what the future holds, but what would be better for us, is to Know the One who holds the future.

This scripture is not God belittling us, but God saying come and see things from My point of view. Then our comprehension about things will be different.

God has better plans for us than we can imagine, trust Him, learn from him and you will never look back.

Be Blessed, Today and Everyday.
