Christmas time fast approaching again, a wonderful time of year to witness our faith. Faith that in some places under fire, with people wanting to change the name of the season from Christmas time to holiday time. Very silly does everybody have holidays at this time of the year, where as people might not believe, but for some strange reason they celebrate this special time.
One of the great hymns of Christmas is: Oh Come all ye faithful. It is a great time of year to share and witness our faith, not just in words, but in giving, and perhaps random giving. People always looking for something to celebrate, there is nothing better to celebrate, than Christ Jesus, coming down from heaven, being born as one of His creations, as the first part of God’s great love and Salvation plan. At Easter we celebrate the final part, where Christ Jesus dies on the cross as one of us and rose again to new life, for us. John 3 verse 16: “God so loved that He gave.”
“Oh Come All Ye Faithful.
V1: Oh come, all ye faithful,
joyfully triumphant,
To Bethlehem hasten now with glad accord;
Lo! in a manager lies the King of angels;
Oh come, let us adore Him,
Oh come, let us adore Him, Christ the Lord!
V2: Raise. raise, choirs of angels,
Songs of loudest triumph:
Through heaven’s high arches be your praises poured:
Now to our God be Glory in the highest;
Oh come, let us adore Him,
Oh come, let us adore Him, Christ the Lord!
V3: Amen! Lord we bless Thee,
Born for our salvation;
O Jesus! for ever be Thy name adored;
Late in flesh appearing;
Oh come, let us adore Him,
Oh come let us adore Him, Christ the Lord!
As the song says let us take the time this Christmas time, to come and adore Him, for what He has done for us.
God Bless.
