Isaiah 26 verse 3: “You will keep in perfect peace the mind that is dependent on You, for it is trusting in You”.

It is a hard thing to let go, and to trust in something that is out of our control. Well that is what it means to trust Our Lord Our Redeemer and Our Friend, let go and give all we are to Him.

In The Amplified Bible it amplifies the verse:

“You will guard him {or her} and keep Him in perfect and constant peace whose mind [both it’s inclination and it’s character] is stayed on You, because He commits to You, leans on You and hopes confidently in You”

Our Lord and Our Friend will do His part, He will guard and keep us in perfect and constant peace. The hard bit for us, which is not so hard, is to hand over our dependency to Him.

The self part of us, would most likely ask, ‘Are you sure He will look after me”. We are worried to hand over our dependency, to anyone, but we need to hold on to God’s truth. Hebrews 13 verse 5: “He will not leave us or forsake us’.

The agreement or covenant we make with Our Lord and Our Friend, when we come to Him, in Repentance because we realize we have fallen short of the plans He has for our lives,and Acceptance of all he has done for us, to restore us back to the place where the plans, with trust in Him can be fulfilled.

This is a commitment process, all we are, we give to Him, and all of Who God is, He gives to us to grow in. When we understand, we will never be able to out grow or out know, all the wonderful things He has for us, it will be easier to see and comprehend, how we can put let ourselves be completely dependent on Him.

His promise, is if we do, He will keep us in His perfect peace.
