Continual Infilling

befilled

The Apostle Paul tells us in Ephesians 5 verse 18:

“And don’t get drunk with wine, which leads to reckless actions, but be filled with the Spirit {Holy Spirit}.”

God has given male and females the opportunity to be continually filled with the Holy Spirit, for effective service. Rather than allowing alcohol or recreational drugs to control the mind of a Believer, it is God’s desire that His Holy Spirit be in control.

Regular examination of our lives, allows us to live in continual fellowship with God. If we do find anything in our lives, that may stop the effective work of the Holy Spirit in our lives, 1 John 1 verse 9; tells us.

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

Righteousness is Right Standing with God, so to be cleansed from all unrighteousness we again have right standing with God.

Therefore, just as we should not let, alcohol and recreational drugs to control our  lives, we should not let sin {wrong-doing against God} to have any place in our lives. Romans 6 verse 12 to 14:

V12: “Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, so that you obey it’s desires.”

V13: “And do not offer any parts of it to sin as weapons of unrighteousness. But as those who are alive from the dead, offer yourselves to God, and all parts of yourself to God as weapons for righteousness.”

V14: “for sin will not rule over you, because you are not under law but under Grace.”

By giving The Holy Spirit control of our lives, we will understand The Holy Spirit’s fullness within is is primarily to produce the fruits of The Spirit. Galatians 5 verse 22 to 23:

V22: “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, V23 gentleness, self-control. Against such things there is no law.

Now if we live by The Holy Spirit, we will have no reason to be filled by any foreign substances that can control our minds. Galatians 5 verse 25:

“If we live by the Spirit, we must also follow the Spirit.” and from the Amplified BIble:

“If we live by the [Holy] Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit.— If by the [Holy] Spirit we have our life [in God], let us go forward in line, our conduct controlled by the Spirit.

God loves us and He gave Himself for us, not to control us, but so we can walk in His Presence, through life, by the Fruits of Holy Spirit, Whom He has given us to be our helper and comforter.

God Bless.
