Comfort and Encouragement, comes from reading His Word. because we know from 2 Corinthians 12 verse 9, His Grace is sufficient for us.
Sufficiency does include Comfort and Encouragement. We all need to be comforted at times, and we all need to be encouraged at times. So what ever we need His Grace is sufficient for us.
2 Thessalonians 2 verses 16 to 17: Expounds the truth about Grace’s sufficiency. {Amplified Bible}
V16: “Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and God our Father, Who loved us and gave us everlasting consolation and encouragement and well founded hope through {HIS} Grace {unmerited favor}.”
V17: “Comfort and encourage your hearts and strengthen them —- make them steadfast and keep them unswerving — in every good work and word.”
Paul never sugar-coated true Christian discipleship, as he knew from his life experiences, he wanted Christians to be willing to endure affliction for Christ sake, because he also knew God’s Grace is sufficient for what ever we go through.
That is why Paul could also wrote in 2 Thessalonians 2 verse 16 and 17; Knowing that God would comfort and encourage our hearts, to keep us steadfast and unswerving, in all of life and it challenges.
It is not just about knowing about the Word, it is by absorbing and believing the Word is real to us, in everything we do and go through.
God Bless.
