Be Filled

Ephesians 5 verse 15 to 21: Is talking about consistency in the Christian life. We will use 15 to 18:

V15: “Pay careful attention, then to how you walk—not as unwise people but as wise—”

V16: “making the most of the time, because the days are evil”.

V17: “So don’t be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is”.

V18: “And don’t get drunk with wine, which leads to reckless actions, but be filled with The Spirit”

Our Lord and Our Friend, has given us the opportunity to be continually filled with The Holy Spirit for effective service. Rather than allowing alcohol to control the minds of us Christians, it is His desire that The Holy Spirit be in control.

The way is made clear to be filled with The Holy Spirit. First: We come into relationship and fellowship with God trough the confession of Sin.  1John 1 verse 9:

“If we confess our sins {wrong-doings against God}, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness”.

Second we walk in Our Lord and Our Friends requirements: Romans 6 verse 11:

“So you too consider yourselves dead to sin, but alive to God IN Christ Jesus”.

It is a changed walk, we are Kingdom People, we give ourselves over to be In Christ.

Romans 8 verse 1: “Therefore, no condemnation now exists for those IN Christ Jesus”.

Then we can be filled with The Holy Spirit as commanded in Scripture.

First the confession, we are out of step with God

Second we become dead to sin, the way we used to walk in the world.

Then we walk in newness of Life, IN Christ Jesus, which makes us ready to be continuously filled by The Holy Spirit,

A Different Walk, A Different Life, A life of Fulfillment, by infilling. A life with purpose and destiny.

God Bless.
