Faith of those that have gone before, it is inspiring to reflect on the Faith of those who have now been promoted to Glory. Here is another great Hymn to help us all reflect the faith that has been held down through the ages.

V1: O Christ, I will endeavour

To serve thee day by day;

Help me to make Thee ever

My Life, My truth, My Way.

When in my breast Thou burnest,

And all seems good and right.

V2 Go with me, God my Savor,

Go  with me every hour;

Control my whole behavior

By Thy full Spirit’s power;

Uplift, and heal, and gladden,

Myself and others, Lord;

May naught that’s in me sadden

Those here that love Thy Word.

V3: Why should I not be willing

To serve Thee with my days,

When Thou art ever filling

My soul with joy and praise?

Why should I not show others

The Light Divine in Thee?

Why should not all my brothers

See what Thou art to me.

A hymn of self commitment. A hymn of reflective praise. A hymn stirring us to witness with a great question, “Why should not all people, see Who You are to me”.

To know Him is to love Him, and serve Him gratefully.
