Psalm 100: This Psalm is one of the shortest and most exuberant passages in the Bible.
Verse 1: “Shout triumphantly to the Lord. all the earth”.
The ‘shout’ in some translations is ‘Make a joyful noise’, was a war cry; the Hebrew verb is the same as that of the shouting of God’s people at the wall of the walls of Jericho. {Joshua 6 verse 20}. This Psalm takes worshipers into the realm of spiritual warfare.
There are no negatives in this passage, no sorrow, warnings or problems. The Psalm is just about shouting and singing and knowing and being thankful.
Verse 4; “Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him and praise His Name”.
Hebrew 4 verse 16: Tells us: “therefore let us approach the throne of Grace with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us at the proper time”.
The best way to come into His Throne Room is, Shouting Triumphantly, because He has won The Victory for us, and has set us free from the power of sin and with thanksgiving and praise.
Only a short Psalm, but packs wonderful description, of how thankful we should be.
God Bless.
