Another Gem from Scripture on trusting: Jeremiah 32 verse 6 to 15;
It made no sense to buy land when the Babylonian army was set to pillage the country. But God told Jeremiah to do just that, and Jeremiah obeyed. The land he brought would be a symbol that God would restore the people after exile. Jeremiah was buying land in preparation for a return from captivity that no one could possibly foresee.
Do we trust God? We often say we do. Pastors and Preachers say we should. Sometimes our prayers attest to it, but being honest do we. When a crisis comes, sickness comes bankruptcy comes, or any bad time comes. whom do we trust.
Our Lord and Our Friend Knows all about us and His word says in Jeremiah 29 verse 11:
“‘For I know the plans I have for you’—this is The Lord declaration—‘plans for your welfare, not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope’.”
Romans 8 verse 28: “We know that all things work together for the good of those who love God; those who are called according to His purpose”.
God’s purposes are clear, He knows the plans, and no matter what we go through, all things work for the good, of those that love Him. Love and trust go hand in hand, we really can’t love Him, if we don’t really trust him.
Trust Him fully today, He will never let us down.
