Living Sacrifices

The essence of our Faith, is to honor God. One of our foremost ways of honoring Him, is to offer our bodies as living sacrifices,holy and pleasing to God.

When we come to Christ Jesus and accept Him as Our Lord , Our Redeemer and our Friend, a change begins to happen in our minds and our thinking, we are being transformed.

The Old Hynm “I Surrender All to Jesus” , is actual stating, we want to be living sacrifices, by surrendering all we are to God. This presenting ourselves to God is the essence of Spiritual worship.

Under the Old Covenant {Old Testament} sacrifices were slain, but under the New Covenant, Christians are to be living sacrifices.If we reflect on this it makes sense of the work we do, the fatigue we feel, the burdens we bear, and the sacrifices we make for Christ’s Kingdom.

Our Lord and Our Friend is our only example, and His example of sacrifice, is our ultimate example. Christ Jesus, emptied Himself of His divine Glory to be born as one of us {Incarnate in flesh], to die as one of us, to bring us new resurrection life in him, if we only believe.

Yes! That is how much God loved us, being and living as one of us, paying a price that we could not pay, so we can have relationship with Him. It is really not to much to ask, that our living and being should be a sacrifice to Him.

Romans 12 verse 1: “Therefore, brothers {and sisters} by the mercies of God, I urge you to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God; this is your spiritual worship”.

The Joy of serving, living and being a living sacrifice, for Our Lord and Our Friend.

Ephesians 5 verse 1 and 2;

v1: “Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children”.

V2: “and walk in love, as the Messiah also loved us and gave Himself for us, a sacrificial and fragment offering to God. {Sacrificial Love}’

God Bless.
