These are the words of Jesus, ‘Follow Me’
Some people might say I will be apart as long as I lead. Some people might say I will be apart if I can do a particular function.
When Jesus called His disciples, He did so by calling them to follow Him. He did tell them to go on without Him. He called them to follow. Discipleship is really following.
If we are to follow someone, we must keep close to them, so it is with Our Lord and Our Friend {Jesus}. If we are to follow Him we are to keep close to Him, we watch Him, we imitate Him and we learn from Him.
The best way is to delve into His word, there we learn from Him. and through following Him our faith will be vibrant and alive.
We can not say ‘no’ to Jesus and still follow Him. But there are risks in saying ‘yes’ to Him, we can not say ‘yes’ to Jesus and expect to remain in control. To say yes to Jesus, ‘I Will Follow, might mean changes to our lives, changes that with His help may not be easy, but changes done begrudgingly, we may have well said ‘no’.
Take the challenge to follow Jesus Who is The Christ, and be satisfied in the knowledge of:
Matthew 11 verse 30: {Message Bible]: “I won’t lay anything heavy or ill fitting on you. Keep company with Me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly'”.
He is still calling today ‘Come follow Me’, and no one will ever regret accepting the calling.
God Bless.
