We all face problems. Even OFJ and myself. None of us are exempt. This post, which I touched on lightly in my last post, has been inspired by a current event that OFJ and myself are going through, praying through, and will walk away from in victory. Of this I am sure! Please don’t mistake my certainty for arrogance. When you know your position and authority in Christ, you know that of which you will over come, and that which is foolishness.

Firstly the biggest deception that Satan has ever masterminded is that of pretending that he has authority. He will try, nearly every day to cower you and make you feel inadequate, hopeless and stupid, break your will to fight and throw you into a pile of defeat and depression, by telling you that he has more power than you and there’s nothing you can do about it. Then he presents you with evidence, you look at your mounting bills, and your dwindling bank account. Or the bad report from the doctor. Or that ever expanding pit of dread in your stomach, when you think on just surviving another day.

And it works.

Our fear paralyses us, and we are convinced that if we approach God an attack of the devil is just around the corner. We have bought into his lie, and given him more power and credit than he has or ever will have. I’m going to be straight with you. He has no power or authority, except that which we give. He can’t do anything to us without our consent. In fact he uses the authority we aren’t willing to use or don’t know how to use, against us.

He’s so full of himself, he tried to convince Jesus that he had the power and Authority to give Jesus whatever he wanted. Just look at Luke 4:6

And the devil said to Him, “All this authority I will give You, and their glory; for this has been delivered to me, and I give it to whomever I wish.

When in reality Jesus said to His disciples, which we are counted among their number.

Then He called His twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases. –Luke 9:1

and

Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. – Luke 10:19

The only Authority that has ever existed in this universe has been that of God’s, whom then delegated it to us so that we would continue on with His work; Healing the sick, cleansing the lepers, raising the dead,  cure diseases, and destroy the works of the enemy.

I say, lets take back what was ours from birth, the right to have authority over the kingdom of the enemy. If you don’t like what he’s doing in your life, stand up and command it gone in the name of Jesus. You have authority over it! Jesus has already paid it all for you when he declared from the cross that it is finished. Whatever you need has been given to you. Exert you authority and make the kingdom of the enemy remove his filthy fingers off of your property! He is here after all, to lie, steal, and destroy. He is jealous of you and the authority that God gave us!

So use it!

When you feel your joy gone, or the noose is tightening. Use it. Don’t take his lies another day, the will of God is that His kingdom comes on earth as it is in heaven. There’s no sickness in heaven, no depression, no worrying over finance, no sadness, no pain. So declare the truth of our Lord and Friend, and use his name and all the authority it contains! Your life will change, and you WILL have victory.

Fear not from this day forward!
