Scripture Of The Week – Ephesians 5:29

Ephesians 5 verse 29: “For no one ever hates his own flesh, but provides and cares for it, just as Christ does for the church.”

One of the strangest things to understand in society today is, that people start mistreating and hurting themselves as somehow spiritual.

If we only understood how much God loves us, we would probably love ourselves more. But secular things point to evolution, and evolution is virtually from slim we came and we are not going to be much more than slim.

To believe in a Creator God must mean, we believe in a created destiny for us and with a created purpose. Because of this we cannot possibly think of ourselves as losers, a lowlife or anything else like that. Sure we are sinners , but when we come to Christ Jesus, we must repent of our wrong doings, that have separated us from Him.

When we do all things become New, our sins are Forgiven and Forgotten, we have a new start. We remain sinners, but saved by Grace and now with the help of The Holy Spirit we walk in a new life, to walk in fellowship one more with Our Creator God.

When we live in anything less than righteousness, peace and joy, we are not experiencing everything that Our Lord and Our Friend has for us.

If we read John 10 verses 9 and 10.  V9 [Jesus speaking] “I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he {they} will be saved and will come in and go out and find pasture.” V10 “A thief comes only to steal and to kill and to destroy. I have come that they may have life and have it in abundance.”

We have an adversary who would try to deprive us of the benefits of the Kingdom, and want  us to feel bad about ourselves. He opposes everything of  God, but if you read the last Book of The Bible Revelation, which we have been studying, that adversary is the biggest loser of them all.

We are created in the image of a God who lives us, who paid the price, so we don’t have to live in bondage. A bondage of feeling bad about ourselves, is better to be traded in, through genuine repentance and acceptance of Our Creator God, Our Loving Lord and Friend, for the complete new life in Him. His word are “Who so ever may come”, it is open to all, a life in companionship with the God that created us all.

God Bless.
