Many people in today’s world, love to read stories that finish with the words ‘Happily ever after’. There is a longing for things that last, because today’s society of consumerism, is littered with the dispensable, throw away, moving on when things get tough.
The yearning for something more, to ever think to achieve something more there must be commitment – commitment for the journey. We have written on Ecclesiastes and a reflection from Ecclesiastes 3 verse 11;
“He {god] has made everything appropriate, in it time. He has also put eternity in their hearts, but man cannot discover the work God has done from the beginning to end.”
God has placed the knowledge of eternity in our hearts, but man has no knowledge of the ways of God. There Foreverness God has placed in our hearts, but until we come to God {Our Lord and Our Friend} the relevance of it will be misunderstood.
The world can have it’s ‘happily ever after’. I am sure like most other Christians, I can only be happy in the Foreverness of God.
Foreverness and hope for our future comes from Knowing the God that created us. We were created in His image to commune with Him. We are not a throw away item to Him, or an item that He will leave if the going gets too tough.
John 12 verse 34: Refers to the Messiah, so he has a forever purpose for us. He did have from the beginning and the same purpose is still here.
How does Foreverness come. John 3 verses 14 to 16: Eternal life comes through believing in the Son of God. Believing and accepting what Our Lord and Our Friend did for us.
John 14 verse 15 to 17: The holy Spirit has come to be our helper and Counselor forever. Foreverness with the Holy Spirit help.
The christian message is not just a nice story, it is a powerful life style, which is to be displayed to the world, the hope we have in Foreverness.
Eternity is with God and all who He is and has for us
God Bless.
