Old Versus The New

The problem of sin in us all. Evil in the world resulted from human sin and selfishness. Genesis 3 verse 17

We were all under the power of sin but THE GOOD NEWS IS CHRIST JESUS {OUR LORD AND OUR FRIEND} PAID THE PRICE FOR OUR SIN ON THE CROSS.

ALL THINGS BECOME NEW IN CHRIST JESUS.

You see the struggle that carries on after we accept Christ Jesus, where all things become new {our body doesn’t it is only a tent in which the real you lives}, but the old you doesn’t give up easily.

Romans 8 verse 12 to 14 Message Bible.

“So don’t you see that we don’t owe this old do-it yourself life one red cent. There’s nothing in it for us, nothing at all. The best thing to do is give it a decent burial and get on with your new life. God’s Spirit beckons. There are things to do and place to go.”

Paul wrote in Romans about the internal struggle that we will have that he was having in a personal Christian experience.

In Christ all Christians want to do what pleases God, but find themselves frustrated in their effort, because of the lingering pressure of sin power within.

The struggle continues in almost every Christian life, but there is progress and victory possible only through the Power of The Holy Spirit, and ultimately when Christ Jesus returns.

Once we accept Christ Jesus for what He has done on the cross, there are no Spiritless believers. we are no longer “in the flesh” but are freed from a merely human, powerless life. The Spirit grants spiritual life to believers at the point of Salvation {acceptance of Christ Jesus}.

The Holy Spirit indwells believers and provides the believers the capacity to please God and put to death the sinful behavior opposed to the Life in Christ Jesus.

We are created in the image of God. { Father< Son and Holy Spirit} a three part being, we are body, soul and spirit.

Before we accept Christ Jesus our soul, control our body and our spirit, with head knowledge, knowledge of the world. after we accept Christ Jesus our spirit controls our body and soul and the Spirit of God {The Holy Spirit} comes to live with our spirit. we have been restored to the relationship God created us for.

This is where Faith comes to the fore, we have to let go and let God, be the driving force in our lives.

Romans 8 verses 15 to 16 “This resurrection life you receive from God is not a timid, gravetending life. It’s adventurously expectant, greeting God with a childlike ‘what next, Papa?’ God’s Spirit touches our spirit and confirms who we really are. We know who He is, and we know who we are: Father and children. And we know we are going to get what’s is coming to us – an unbelievable inheritance! We go through exactly what Christ goes through. If we go through the hard times with Him, then we’re certainly going through the good times with Him.”

Two miraculous Gifts, The first;

Jesus {Our Lord and Our Friend} did provide a way for us to get to heaven. Through His sacrifice on the cross He made it possible for us to actually become God’s children. He gives us eternal life, and we will spend eternity with Him in heaven.

The second miraculous gift; Jesus also provided for us in this life. He did not demand a high calling of us, and not leave us the load to carry .

Mathew  11 verse 28. Message bible “Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me {Jesus}. Get way with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me – watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with Me an d you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.

Don’t be held back by the old ways of the past, believe in the New Life Christ Jesus {our Lord and Our Friend} has given you in Salvation.

God Bless.
