Stress.
Do we ever avoid it completely? The best way to catagorise it is the old saying “it makes you feel like you are being pulled from pillar to post.” (stretched beyond your means)
Life is full of problems, Jesus didn’t come to deliver us from our problems, but He is there to help us through our problems.
Psalm 20 verse 1 to 2
“May the Lord answer you in a day of trouble;
may the name of Jacob’s God protect you.
May He send you help from the sanctuary and sustain you from Zion.”
2 Samuel 22 verse 7
“In my distress I cried out to the Lord, he heard me from His sanctuary, my cry reached His ear.”
Isaiah 41 verse 10
“Don’t be afraid for I am with you, don’t be discouraged for I am your God. I will strenghten you and help you, I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.”
This ministry gives out a card “IF IT MATTERS TO YOU IT MATTER TO HIM.”
Some of our life problems are complex and they really weigh us down. Maybe professional help might be needed to help you overcome your problems, but if Jesus isn’t apart of the help there is no real help.
Speaking from experience I once worked in a bank, became a manager, left to follow my dream of owning a business.
Somehow in the process I made some bad decisions that I thought was in the Lord.
I will never regret following the dream because it is during this time, I found a deeper understanding of the Power of God.
The deeper understanding drew bigger temptations and then become pride and I started entertaining the devil instead of rebuking the old liar. I started to take him on as if I could defeat him. Silly me he is already defeated, we need to remind him. Remind him of what happened at the cross and he will flee from you.
God was allowing me to take a journey and stress became apart of life.
The stress got worse, family stressed out as well, our business came to an end.
I started to drive taxis reluctantly so we could pay the bills.
But God was always with me, and the greatest way to forget my problems was to share My Lord and Friend when I had the opportunity.
Sometimes the ball of stress would seem bigger than the Lord, but He never left me alone.
I started getting back into the Word more regularly.
Matthew 11 verse 28
“Come to me, all of you who are weary, and burdened and I will give you rest.”
So to all of you out there. I went from success to stress.
I did find that coming closer to the Lord, the stress started to leave, the problems didn’t finish, but they are diminishing.
That is why from experience this ministry can give away the cards carrying that message of hope.
1 Peter 5 verse 7
“Cast all you cares on Him because He cares for you.”
You are not alone and will never be from one with the experience of an Ever Present God
God Bless
