Dancing before the Lord.

The Message Bible: 1 Thessalonians 4 Verse 1: “”One final word, friends. we ask you –urge is more like it–that you keep on doing what we told you to please God, not in a doggerel religious plod, but in a living, spirited dance”.

.To live in a way that pleases God, to a lot of people that can mean many things, to live a boring life, to live a religious life, but Our Lord and Our Friend wants us to live life to the fullest in Him

Acts 17 Verse 28: “In Him we move and have our being”. How can our lives be boring or religious, He has made us free to live out of His Goodness, His joy and His understanding.

When we look at 1 Thessalonians 4 verse 1 through a different translation, we see the way to live that please God.

Message Bible. “One final word, friends. We ask you –urge is more like it—that you keep on doing what we told you to do to please God, not in a dogged religious plod, but in a living spirited dance. You know the guidelines we laid out for you from the Master Jesus”.

Wow!  Live our lives not in a dogged religious plod, but in a living, spirited dance.

Dance sounds like a wonderful freedom, live our lives in complete contentment, complete assurance and complete trust in Our Creative God that loves us, then I am sure we will feel like dancing.

In 2 Samuel 6: King David danced with all His might wearing only the linen ephod {priestly garment}, to celebrate the Ark of the Covenant arriving in Jerusalem.

David only had the Presence of God in an Ark. We through the Cross have The Holy Spirit living in our lives, time to reflect it. To display the Presence of God in our lives.
