Reading The Word of God, is a most wonderful thing, to glean the message Our Lord and Our Friend has for our lives. Reading books by great authors, who have found that message for themselves, is an exciting reminder that what they have found in their gleaning, can also be available to us.
Once such great author Charles Spurgeon wrote:
“The bridge of Grace will bear your weight, brother. Thousands of big sinners have gone across that bridge, yea, tens of thousands have gone over it. Some have been the chief of sinners and some have come at the very last days but the arch has never yielded beneath their weight. I will go with them trusting to the same support. It will bear me over as it has them”.
Tens of thousand more have gone over the bridge since Charles Spurgeon wrote that. The Bridge of Grace is still open. and ‘Whosoever’ can cross. Passage is guaranteed by John 3 verse 16:
Ten of thousands more have gone over the Bridge of Grace and found as the Apostle Paul found:
2 Corinthians 12 verse 9: “But He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.’ Therefore, I will most gladly boast all the more about my weakness, so that Chris’s power may reside in me”.
In Christ and though the Bridge of Grace, we all become missionary, our mission is about Him. Being a missionary doesn’t mean we will necessarily go oversea, but it does mean we become people with focus and we See the Cross with a new intensity.
People do not care how much we know, they are wanting to know how much we care, and care enough to show them His Grace and Grace bridge to life The Cross, and let the Holy Spirit transform their lives from there.
Being instruments of His Grace, which Our Lord paid so much to give.
God Bless.
