Romans 13 Verse 11: “Knowing the time, it is already the hour for you to wake up from sleep, for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed”.

Using The Message Bible: Romans 13 verse 11;

“But make sure that you don’t get so absorbed and exhausted in taking care of all your day to day obligations that you lose track of the time, and doze off, oblivious of God”.

The Apostle Paul is saying, be aware of who you are and what our mission is. Are we living a fruitful life while we are waiting for our heavenly calling? Paul wants us to make certain Kingdom People are not lulled to sleep by the sweet talk of the world. None of us knows when our call home will come, but we do. Paul is saying ‘Be ready’.

Paul is also referring to our walk with Our Lord and Our Friend, we must be diligent to walk faithfully. We must stay alert and not be lured away from Our Lord and Our Friend by petty things in this world.

Wisdom from Proverbs states; Proverbs 29 verse 25: {Message Bible}:

“The fear of Human opinion disables; trusting in God protects you from that”.

Don’t be caught up in the opinions of people, Our Lord and Our Friend will protect us, so we should set our eyes on Him.

Proverbs 3 verses 21 and 26: Also talks about not being caught up; But  we will finish with verse 26 of this passage.

“For the Lord will be your confidence and will keep your foot from a snare”.

Let Our Lord and Our Friend be our confidence, and He will help us, from being caught up.
