Hebrews 7:25 “Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.”
We must not imagine that God the Father is angry with us so that God the Son must constantly appeal to Him not to judge us.
Intercession involves our Lord’s representation of His people at the throne of God. Through Christ, believers are able to draw near to God in prayer and also to allow spiritual sacrifices to God. { 1 Peter 2 Verse 5}
That verse blows me away! It says that he can save (help, heal, aid, comfort, fight for, protect) those who come to God through him (which as we already know through scripture is the only way we can come to Him). Meaning if you have accepted Jesus Christ into your heart as Lord and Savior, these promises are for you!
It also goes on to say – since He always lives to make intercession for them. He is waiting on the right-hand side of the throne of God, He constantly has the Father’s ear. His words with the Father hold weight, more weight than any set of words we could string together, and He lives to intercede for us. He endorses us!
God Bless.
