“Rejoice in the Lord always. Again, I will say, rejoice”.
The Apostle Paul writes this in Philippians 4 Verse 4.
The Passion Translation says, “Be cheerful with joyous celebration in every season of life. Let joy overflow. For you are united with the Anointed One”.
Joy is the fuel we run on, unless we maintain it, we can run out.
Negativity and doubt can rob us of joy, so we need to be able to run into His presence at these times.
Hebrews 4 Verse 16: “Therefore let us approach the throne of Grace with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find grace top help us at the proper time”.
Our Lord and Our Friend is a joy giver, and when you stay connected to Him, you experience His Joy regardless of your circumstances”.
We can think about it like this, how can we walk around saying our sins are forgiven. God guides and protects us, and we are going a divine eternity in heaven, but we look like we have bitten into a lemon or even worse.
The short-term happiness this world has to offer is only a reaction to circumstances, whereas the joy that comes from living Our Lord and Our Friend lifts us above any circumstance.
Draw on His joy, Reflect on His joy and demonstrate His Joy to all those around us.
New year draw more and more on Our Lord and Our to be our source of everything.
God Bless.
