Oh Come Let Us Adore Him

The wonderful Christmas Carol “Oh Come Let Us Adore Him”. The First three verses:

1 O come, all ye faithful, joyful and triumphant,
O come ye, O come ye to Bethlehem!
Come, and behold Him, born the King of angels!

Refrain:
O come, let us adore Him;
O come, let us adore Him;
O come, let us adore Him, Christ, the Lord!

2 God of God, Light of Light,
lo, He abhors not the virgin’s womb;
very God, begotten not created; [Refrain]

3 Sing, choirs of angels; sing in exultation;
sing, all ye citizens of heav’n above!
Glory to God, all glory in the highest![Refrain]

A dictionary meaning of what “Adore” to worship or love devotedly.

‘Worship or Love’, with how much God loves us we should Worship and Love.

The season of Christmas is about God’s love for us. There was no way we could ever be good enough to enter before a Holy God.

John 1 verse 1: “in the beginning was The Word, and The Word was with god, and The Word was God’.

V2: “He was with God in the beginning”.

V3: All things were created through Him, and apart from Him not one thing was created that had been created”.

Christmas celebrates the Creator coming down, Who would pay the price of dying in our place on the cross, so that through Him anyone who accepts Him, could put on His righteousness and than have right standing before Him. It is gift we can never attain our selves in our own righteousness, but we put on His righteousness.

John 1 Verse 16: “Indeed, we have all received grace after grace from his fullness”.

So this Christmas time, Oh Come Let Us Adore Him Christ The Lord’. and receive a new understanding of how much the God Who created us loves us.

God Bless.
