Teaching that takes away from Christ teachings or demotes Christ Jesus from His central place, place with The Father, is dangerous to the Christian message.
The Apostle Paul’s concern with this bad teaching, can be read about in Colossians 1 verse 15 to 19 & 2 verse 4 to 23:
The Apostle Paul wrote a lot of great teaching in Colossians.
1 verse 15 to 23: The Centrality of Christ.
3 verses 1 to 11: The Life of The New Man {or Lady}
3 verse 12 to 17: The Christian Life.
3 verse 18 to 25: Christ In Your Home.
The Apostle Paul’s message to the Colossians, and to us as believers, was and is to hold on firmly to Christ Jesus, rather than go off on a tangent, which has some groups have by, denying the The Deity Of Christ.
Hold on to the great teaching such as, Colossians 2 verses 6 to 8:
V6: There fore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, walk in Him”,
V7: rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness”.
V8: “Be careful that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deceit based on human tradition, based on the elemental forces of the world, and not based on Christ”.
Let no one take us away from the reality of the Gospel message: Colossians 3 verse 17: And whatever you do, in word or in deed, do everything in The Name of The Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him”.
Only The real Truth will set you free.
God Bless.
