My Heart Christs Home Part 3
Ephesians 3:16-17 “that (God) may grant you to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith.” (Weymouth) translation says “that Christ may settle down and be at home in your hearts by faith.”
Recently, some family and friends have been going through challenges in health and relationships and we found encouragement in Psalm 144:1-2 “There is only one strong, safe, and secure place for me; it’s in God alone who give me strength for the battle. He’s my shelter of love and my fortress of faith, who wraps himself around me as a secure shield. I hide myself in this one who subdues enemies before me.”
Quote “Courage is always an act of faith because the courageous person acts on what he believes despite the threat.”
As we walk through different valleys and seasons in our lives, facing the storms can feel daunting and sometimes overwhelming. Psalm 27:14 is one of my favorites, “Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage; and He shall strengthen your heart; Wait I say on the Lord”.
The previous verse, Psalm27: 13 says “What would have become of me had I not believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living!”
Verse 14 in the Amplified Bible says “Wait and hope for and expect the Lord; be brave and of good courage and LET your heart be stout and enduring. Yes, wait for and hope and expect the Lord.”
We have our Lord and our Friend, abiding in our hearts, and He wants us to ‘Let our hearts take courage”. He wants to be the strength of our hearts, our shelter and secure place.
Dear friends, ‘let your heart take courage’; know that our Lord and Friend is well able. He sees and understands and cares. May His love and peace and hope fill our hearts, as we walk in His grace day by day.
Rich blessings.
