Philippians 4 Verse 12 to 13: ” I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through Him who gives me strength.”

I have been asking myself, am I content with what I have? Or more to the point, am I content without the things I don’t have?

I believe my answer is yes. How about you? Even though some things are not necessary how we would like them at the moment, or we don’t have the things we want, we can still be content. He is sufficient for every situation. Knowing God and His provision, is all we need.

In Matthew 6: Jesus encourages us with the familiar passage: “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear, is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?”

I Apostle’s Paul letter to the Philippians, he stresses to them that joy, peace and contentment are not found in earthly things.

Dear Heavenly Father, too often we become concerned about things we do not need to be concerned about. You have blessed us with all we need, Please help us to be content with what you have blessed us with, and not be envious of what we don’t have. In Jesus Name I pray , Amen.
