Faith In Action “What Is Holding Our Focus”

Matthew 6 verse 21: Tells us: :For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also”.

If we expand on this, without taking away from, the importance of the verse, we can conclude that, if we focus our thinking on God, before we do anything, we will know where our heart is.

When we get up in the morning, we should acknowledge Him. We greet a lot of other people on our morning rounds, so why not, “Good Morning Lord”.  We also should focus our thinking on Him, before focusing what lies before us. He will be with us, so make Him feel welcome and that we want Him along.

You see it is one of the laws of life, that we become like the things on which we focus. Focus on money and we become like it, hard and controlling. Focus on revenge, on those who have done us wrong, we become like them, revengeful and inconsiderate. There is, the answer focus on God and we will become more like Him, loving, kind, and gracious.

People will want to know more about us, because they see in us what we are focusing on, which leaves a door open to witness, the great love He has for a “Whosoever”. John 3 verse 16:

A daily commitment, the reason, we as His followers should be holy because we should reflect His Character. We should be holy because He has determined to make us like Himself. Romans 8 verse 29 & 30. That is His goal in saving us; that we should be ‘Holy and without blame’ before Him Ephesians 1 v4.

Jude 1 verse 21: “Keep yourselves in the Love of God”, by making Our Lord and Our Friend, the center of our focus.

Don’t let ‘anything steal our focus away from Him.

God Bless.
