Chaplain’s Message

Happy New Year, I pray you all had a pleasant and restful Christmas and New Year break.

Last year was not a very good year in many ways for my wife and I, which caused me to consider the changes I need to make so this year will be better. To appreciate what God has given me; to value relationships; to value family, friends and others.

The Bible tells me to consider others before myself. Philippians 2:3-5 “Do nothing from selfish or empty conceit, but with humility of mind, esteem others as more important than yourself. Don’t look out just for your own interests, bu also for the needs of others.

Putting yourself last was the attitude of Christ, Who emptied Himself, taking the form of a servant. There is joy in living like this.

Jesus Others Yourself

I don’t know what New Year’s Resolutions or changes you have decided on if any, but in your deliberations, I encourage you to ‘trust the Lord with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind’ and ‘love your neighbour as yourself’ Matthew 22:37-39

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for loving and caring for us the way You do. Help us also to show love and concern for others. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen.

Have a great year and God bless you.
