Chaplain’s Message
Philippians chapter 4 verses 6 and 7 “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus”.
Worry can be a very debilitating emotion. We worry about our partners, children, family, our jobs, our finances, and our health. We even worry about running out of time, and whether we have made a right decision. You know; sometimes the things we worry about never happen.
Matthew 6 verses 25 to 27 “Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food? And the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not more valuable than they? And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life?”
Matthew 6 verse 34 “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble”.
Dear heavenly Father, when floods of disappointment, waves of doubt and clouds of worry crowd in on us, help us remember that we are not alone. You give us your peace through the storms of life. So, Lord, please help us to trust You with everything in our lives, especially the things that concern us and cause us to be anxious. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen.
God bless you this week.
