Love we first covered in the Gospel of John. Love is a fruit of the Spirit
Again from John’s Gospel 13 verses 34 and 35: {Amplified Bible];
V34 “I give you a new commandment that you should love one another just as I have loved you, so you to should love one another.
V35 ” By this all {people} know that you are my disciples, if you love one another, if you keep showing love among yourselves.”
Romans 5 Verse 8: “But God proved His own love for us in that while we were still sinners Christ died for us.”
The God kind of Love took Jesus {The Son of God} to the cross to die a painful death, as one of us, but He did it out of love, to give us new life with Him, at His resurrection.
This is stunning love, God has bestowed on us, it is a saturating love to walk in, to give out of, to grow to our potential in.
This is not a whishy whashy kind of love, first of all it is a command, secondly it should be our response to that command, not because He commanded, but because His Love should permeate us, if He is truly Lord of our life.
We are in Him, to be sort of marinated by Him. Our old self is dead, our new self, which He purchased for us on the cross is alive in Him.
Marinated in The Fruit of Love.
God Bless.
