Belief Believing

Faith is trusting in Our Lord and Our Friend. Romans 10 verse 11:

“The Scripture says, No man who believes in Him — who adheres to relies on and trust in Him — will [ever] be put to shame or disappointed.”

Isaiah 28 verse 16: “Therefore thus says the Lord God, Behold, I am laying in Zion for a foundation Stone, a tested Stone, a precious Cornerstone of sure foundation; he {or she} who believes —- trusts in, relies on and adheres to that Stone — will not be ashamed or give way or make haste [in sudden panic].”

The faith that please God, is not just a word, it is an active word, which requires, trust in, relies on and adheres to.

Believers on the island of Crete face a challenge, to display this kind of faith. The Cretan culture had many gods. It’s people filled their time with much idle chatter, mistruths and empty promises. So how could the ‘Christians’ loyalty to yet one more God be taken seriously, let alone make a difference to society?

The Apostle Paul acknowledge the dilemma to these believers in his letter to Titus. Paul gives an affirmation that God never lies. In the same way, we must be people of truth and integrity. Living Faith, having live active faith in our lives, requires faith and trust in what we believe. The Promises of God are sure and true.

John 3 verse 16: For God so loved that He gave, that any ‘whosoever’ can come. Our coming to God’s invitation, requires an attitude of purpose, not an attitude of just wants. An attitude of purpose is a seeking to be active in our New belief in Christ Jesus. An attitude of purpose, leads to transforming faith, which will ultimately please God. Let our active faith, be a reflection, of our trust and assurance in Our Lord and Our Friend,

God Bless.
