1 John 1 Verse 9: “If we confess our sin, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and cleanse us of all unrighteousness.”
The Apostle John here addressed what could be called lifestyle apologetics. In which we recognize that the credibility of the message cannot be separated from the lives of those who proclaim that message.
This lifestyle includes walking in the light.
Confessing sin, we are sinners saved by Grace, we remain sinners but being transformed, if we do sin, it will hinder our transformation, Our Lord and Our Friend will forgive us when we confess our sins the things that may stop us from being transformed more and more.
Keeping the Word of The Lord
Loving one another.
Hating the things of the world and the flesh, or sinful nature.
We do not obey an eternal law because of fear. No believers today obey an internal law and live because of love. The Holy Spirit teaches us the Word and enables us to obey, sin is till sin, but if we confess our sin, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and cleanse us of all unrighteousness.
Cleansed and forgotten about: Psalm 103 Verse 12.
“As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgression from us”.
Possible for us to sin, but why would we, if it effects our walk with Our Lord and Our Friend.
