Scripture Verse Of The Week

John 21 Verse 17: “Jesus said, ‘Then feed my sheep’.”

Peter despite his faults and failures. Did indeed love the Lord. He had denied the Lord three times, and when He realized why the Lord needed to ask him three times it hurts him.

Peter response “Lord you know everything, you know that I love You.”

Out of that forgiveness Peter found, the Lord told him, “Then feed My Sheep.”

Jesus Christ is the Good Shepherd {John 10 verse 11}

The Great Shepherd {Hebrews 13 verses 20 and 21}

Chief Sheppard {! Peter 5 Verse 4}

Pastors are ‘under-shepherds’ who obey Him as they minister to the flock. A pastor will also love their sheep and tenderly care for them.

The Greek word for sheep here is more than just a sheep, it means ‘dear sheep.’

Psalm 72 Verse 14: “He will redeem them from oppression and violence, for they are precious in His sight”.

We may have failing in our life like Peter had but, “If we confess our sins. He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sin and cleanse us from all unrighteousness”.

We become one of His ‘dear sheep’, who always available to answer His calling.

God Bless
